No to Batu 3 Flyover Link into USJ3 |
To: YAB Perdana Menteri Malaysia, YAB Menteri Besar Selangor, YDP MPSJ, YB MP SJ Loh Seng Kok, YB Dato Lee Hwa Beng, Ketua Pengarah, Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia, MD, Sime UEPCONSTRUCTION OF A ROAD LINKING SUBANG HITECH, BATU 3, SHAH ALAM TO USJ3, SUBANG JAYA
It has come to our knowledge that the Authorities plan to build a road linking the Subang HiTech area in Shah to the USJ3 area in Subang Jaya. The rationale is that this will facilitate convenience of traffic between these areas. In reality, this will bring much more traffic into Subang than disperse traffic out of the Municipality as motorists use Subang as a hub to escape paying toll at the Federal Highway in Batu Tiga. As it stands, those who stay and work in Subang Jaya/USJ know that the traffic here can be horrendous especially during peak hours. This is a result of the bottle necks at the SS 19 area along Psn Tujuan and the Kesas junction at Psn Kewajipan. The community have been crying for a solution for many years with none in sight.
Another new road such as the above will only bring in more traffic and make the situation in Psn Tujuan a nightmare, besides posing a real and serious danger to school children from two schools in the USJ4 area.
We are not against development, but development must be proactively planned such that one new project does not create other problems for the raakyat. In this instance , we are positive this link road can only create more havoc to the already hazardous traffic congestion in this township.
Until and unless the Authorities can resolve the current traffic problem here, we urge you NOT to allow this project to proceed and not to build any more new roads that can only bring in more traffic into the township.
Sincerely,
