Die Malediven sind für Taucher ein sehr beliebtes Reiseziel. Durch die Artenvielfalt der Riffe und die Möglichkeiten hier auf Großfische wie Mantas zu treffen, entscheiden sich jedes Jahr viele für einen Urlaub auf den Malediven. Diese Attraktivität und die Integrität einer komplexen Nahrungskette sehen wir nun durch wenige Personen gefährdet. Wir – die Unterzeichner – wollen die Regierung der Malediven auf diesen Missstand hinweisen und sie bitten diesem inakzeptable Verhalten mit aller Härte entgegenzutreten, um diese attraktivste aller Rochenarten zu erhalten.

The Maldivian islands are one of scuba divers’ top destinations. The biodiversity of the reefs and big fish like the manta ray is a main issues for divers to spend their vacation at the Maldives. Few persons now endanger the attractivity and integrity of a complex food chain. We - the undersigned – want to notify the Republic of Maldives about this grievance. Please take strict action to preserve your exceptional fauna, especially the manta rays!
