إنها شجرة أرز مشؤومة تحلم بالحرب الأهلية

باسم القاطنين في لبنان، اللبنانيين على اختلاف معتقداتهم واللاجئين الفلسطينيين والعمال الأجانب الشرعيين وغير الشرعيين والسوريين والإيرانيين وباقي الأجانب المقيمين على الأراضي اللبنانية، نستنكر فيلم شربل خليل المعنون "حتى ما يموت الشهيد" لأنه يحرض على الكره والعنف والقتل. كما نستنكر التوزيع المجاني المتعمّد لهذا الفيلم.

ونطالب بما يلي:
• اعتذار عام يقدمه شربل خليل وجميع الذين ساهموا في صناعة هذا الفيلم لجميع المقيمين على الأراضي اللبنانية ولأرواح الشهداء المدنيين العزل الذين سقطوا ببنادق وسكاكين الميليشيات المتصارعة على الأراضي اللبنانية وأولئك الذين ذهبوا ضحايا المجازر الجماعية والتطهير الطائفي والعرقي في أكثر من مكان في لبنان.
• اعتبار هذه العريضة ومرفق معها نسخة من الفيلم ومقال جهاد بزي المنشور في جريدة السفير بتاريخ 18/1/2006 وغيرها من المقالات إن وُجدت إخباراً نقدمه إلى القضاء اللبناني ليتحرك وفقاً للقوانين التي تمنع التحريض الطائفي والتي تعاقب التحريض على العنف.
• دعوة المحامين ورجال القانون وجمعيات حقوق الإنسان والهيئات الأهلية للتحرك والادعاء على معدي الفيلم ومنتجيه ومموليه أيضاً بتهمة إثارة النعرات الطائفية والحض على العنف والكراهية.

In the name of all residents of Lebanon, the Lebanese irrespective of their beliefs, the Palestinian refugees, the foreign workers with “legal” or “illegal” status, the Syrians, Iranians, and all other foreigners living on the Lebanese territory, we condemn the movie of Charbel Khalil entitled “So that the martyr doesn’t die” because it provokes hatred and violence and encourages the act of murder. We also condemn the conscious and purposive free distribution of this movie.

We demand the following:
• A public apology by Charbel Khalil and all those who participated in the making of this movie to all people residing on the Lebanese territory and to the souls of unarmed civilian martyrs who were murdered by the rifles and the knives of the fighting militias on the Lebanese territory and those who were the victims of the collective massacres and confessional and ethnic cleansing in more than one place in Lebanon.
• Consider this petition, attached to it a copy of the movie, the article of Jihad Bazzi published in Assafir newspaper on 18/1/2006 and other articles, if they exist, as a report that we present to the Lebanese Judiciary to act according to the Lebanese laws that prevents confessional provocation and punishes the provocation of violence.
• Invite all lawyers, people of law, human rights organizations, and local committees to react and file a law suit against the makers of this film, its producers and funders on the charge of provoking confessional confrontations and encouraging violence and hatred.
