Protect the forests of Greece

To:  Greek Government, EU Parliament

Following the unspeakable events of the last few weeks, we, the undersigned, as concerned citizens of Greece and the world, demand an immediate commitment to the following:

1. To create a separate Environment Ministry for Greece.
2. No alteration of the forest-protecting Article 24 of the Greek Constitution.
3. Immediate compilation of the Forestry Inventory and the National Cadastre.
4. The proper support and operation of the Natura 2000 Management Agencies that have not been functional since 2003, when the last 25 were created.
5. The abolition of the incredible ease with which the government legalizes the arbitrary - illegal buildings within or without city plans or forests.
