Canadians against the New Copyright Bill c-61

All signers are to include their voting district( your constiuency) and please no double signing. Also I do not care about age limits, any one over the age of 6 hours can sign, and right up until death. Please note that this will also affect those who legally purchase music.

To:  Canadian Federal Government

I am an ordinary Canadian and I am against the New Copyright Bill C-61. The Canadian Government is trying to get our money from us by making it illegal to download a piece of music.. Downloading music and putting it on your MP3We, the undersigned, would like to make a stand against Bill C-61, which will make amendments to the copyright act that will affect Canadians as a whole. The copyright act should be in place to protect artists and others from illegal downloading, but with this Bill illegal downloading becomes less of a crime than the average consumer utilizing their legally purchased media as they wish.

As a democracy it is your duty to represent the people, and represented through our signatures on this petition, is the decision the people have made.

Bill C-61 seeks to criminalize the average consumer for things which the government should not have a say in.

As Canadian citizens we are making a call that you stand up and truly represent us by protecting our rights, not taking them away.
