Should the Red Hot Chili Peppers play Halifax?





Yes, yes they should. I'm tired of being left out of so called "Canadian tours".





My Name is CZR. (Caesar) I've been a Peppers fan since 84 when one day a saw 4 crazy looking dudes on the tube acting all crazy like. he,he.


Who, introduced themselves by saying:


"I'm the singer, I go ahhhhhhhhow"


"I'm the bass player, I go bap, bap, bap..."


"I'm the drummer, I go tapity, tap, tap...."


"I'm the guitar player, I go wowooooooo...."


Screaming & jumping around with enough energy to crush mountains. That was it. I had to find out who these guys were & what there music was like.I had no idea that they would crush musical barriers, as big as mountains, by mixing all the great sounds that I heard in my stepfathers record collection.


Now years later I've managed to see them twice. Once in '96 & once in '99. I feel very fortunate to have seen them. Most people never get to see their favorite. artist or artists even once. Now us maritime-rs are always left out & this latest tour is no exception. Why?????? With last years Pearl Jam show & the Rolling Stones playing Moncton It looked like things were about to change for us. So you can imagine the shock I got when last month the Peppers announced their Canadian dates.

One show. That's all. One stripped down show. We don't need to see fancy lights& or flaming fire. We just need the music, right? Right! All they have to do is bring their instruments. Damn I can lend them some speakers if I have to. So to Quote George "We need the Funk, got to have the Funk!"
