Paris Hilton should not be Pardoned |
To: Governor Schwarzenegger & the MediaI believe that Paris Hilton should serve her sentence like any other California Citizen who violated the terms of probation on SEVERAL occasions. Any other person would not get off by stating they "didn't know".
Now Ms. Hilton is attempting to waste the time of the Governor by pleading for him to pardon her from her jail sentence. Paris needs to follow the appeals process rather than using her celebrity to try to get herself out of a situation she alone has created.
Paris chose to drive drunk, she chose to drive with a suspended license and she now chooses to whine about her punishment, which is reasonable in every sense of the word.
Paris also feels that this punishment is "cruel", merely to cause suffering on her part. I’m insulted that Paris Hilton compares her spending 45 days in a jail to cruelty. There are so many more injustices occurring right now as I type this out, much more pressing than a spoiled heiress spending a month and a half in a jail cell subject to bologna sandwiches.
Please sign this petition to urge Governor Schwarzenegger to ignore Paris’s pleas for a pardon from her sentence and to also ask the media to stop covering this story as something newsworthy.
Sincerely,
