To:  Stephen Harper Prime Minister of Canada

Whereas in the "Stand up For Canada" document, the conservative party published policies which promised that a Conservative government would:
• Prevent party leaders from appointing candidates without the democratic consent of local electoral district associations.
• Propose further reforms to make the Senate an effective, independent, and democratically elected body that equitably represents all regions.
and whereas these promises have been at the least morally breached.

Therefore, we the undersigned Canadian Voters demand that:

1. Prime Minister Stephen Harper reverse his (non-democratic) appointment of a cabinet post for David Emerson, elected Liberal for Vancouver Kingsway

2. reverse the (non-democratically elected) appointment to the Senate of Michael Fortier

Should he choose not to reverse these appointments then he should resign for changing his policies and breaching his promise to the Canadian voters.

Should he refuse to resign, then in the interest of Canadian democracy, we
demand that the Opposition parties defeat the government at the earliest
possible opportunity.
