To:  Rock & Hall of Fame

We the undersigned, do hereby formally petition the nominating committee of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to nominate the Rhythm & Blues Legends Fred Parris and the Five Satins for induction into the Rock & Roll hall of Fame. In the history on Rhythm and Blues, Doo Wop and Rock and Roll, Fred Parris and the Five Satins can not be overlooked if the intention is to chronicle its beginnings and development. Among their many songs, In the Still of the Night, (Ill Remember) continues to appear at the top of the list of most favorite songs from the 50’s. The song is listed as one of BMI compilations of the top 100 song of all time. Sung by many performers, it has made it to the charts a dozen or more times, in doo wop, country, pop, jazz and easy listening styles. They have been at the forefront of the classics and the group has been a major influence on Rock & Roll specifically; Rhythm and Blues and Soul. We formally request that Fred Parris and the Five Satins be inducted under the performers’ category so they may claim their rightful place in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
