To:  Slashdot.org Community

We, the undersigned, feel that computer/car analogies on slashdot.org are totally irrelevant and detrimental to the community and thus should be frowned upon and not be used in discussion by any member.

A computer is an infinitely programmable software platform, while a car is just a vehicle designed to take you (and your loot) from point A to point B. The two share no similarities whatsoever and as such the analogy makes no sense.

With this campaign we aim to raise awareness to faulty logic incidents on the slashdot.org site specifically and IT forums generally. So please, community members, take action now -- remember if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem!

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
