Reinstate the U.C. Study Abroad Program in Israel |
Please put your job title or position for category "Title."
To: University of California and Education Abroad Program (EAP) AdministrationsThe University of California's Education Abroad Program (EAP) in Israel was suspended in 2001 due to a State Department Travel Warning. The Travel Warning was changed on April 7, 2005. It now "urges U.S. citizens to carefully weigh the necessity of their travel to Israel." Dozens of universities across the United States have already reinstated their study abroad programs to Israel and the U.C. should be at the forefront of this movement. This petition urges the EAP and U.C. administrations to acknowledge the attempts at peace and reform in the Middle East, the strength of the U.S.-Israel relationship, and the potential for a great exchange of culture, scholarship and students, and reinstate the Education Abroad Program in Israel.
Sincerely,
